Head Coach

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Head Coach will have the primary responsibility of creating a safe and effective training environment for our clients by leading group, personal training sessions, individual design, and nutrition coaching protocols:

• Lead group training sessions, adhering to timelines
• Develop personal training clients
• Develop individual design clients
• Develop nutrition coaching clients
• Assist clients with training modifications necessary for safe and effective training
• Demonstrate exercises and movements
• Provide verbal, visual and tactile feedback to clients
• Communicate with other coaching staff as necessary to foster a highly satisfactory client experience
• Ensure client expectations are met
• Support continuous improvement of processes
• Professional and engaging presence and attitude
• Other tasks and duties, as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Group management
• High follow through
• Ability to manage and adhere to timelines
• Computer application skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years of experience in personal training, group fitness class training or other similar experience preferred. If you do not have your CF-L1, we will help you get it!
• Education in fitness training, similar to or including one or more of the following: ACSM, ACE, NASM, OPEX CCP, AL-P are a plus
• Nutrition Certification is a plus

DAY TO DAY AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal working conditions require the ability to see clients’ movements, hear clients’ questions and provide verbal, visual and tactile feedback.
The position requires standing, walking and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

The environment includes moderate to loud noise.

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATION

• Push business towards excellence each day
• Be an open source of communication. No gossip.
• Cover additional sessions when needed (up to 3 per week)
• Fulfill all opening and/or closing duties
• Be on the floor and engaged with members 15 minutes before and after every session
• Be fully prepared for session (lesson plan) prior to the 10 minutes before every session
• Greet and take care of walk-ins whenever present at Salt de Terre
• Post regular gym/member updates to facebook group
• Actively participate in all Salt de Terre hosted coach’s development sessions and 1-on-1 coach’s development sessions
• Take sales consultations and individual assessments for incoming leads
• Help stage, clean, and organize the gym before and after all sessions
• Help set up, clean up, and run special events, in-house competitions, and parties
• Continued education and never-ending pursuit of coaching excellence

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary and Income Potential: $35,000 – $65,000 (working up to 40 hours per week)
• Paid Time Off, Healthcare Stipend
• Paid as a W-2 Employee OR W-9 Employee, your choice
• 70-80% of all revenue from personal training, nutrition coaching programming, and 1-on-1 coaching such as individual design programming

• Reimbursement on continuing education up to $1000 per year.
