About Global Human Performance

GHP is a personal training business centered on helping young athletes and active adults have high performing bodies that allow them to enjoy their sports and life activities.

Most of our athletes are young high performing track and field athletes, basketball, baseball, and ultimate frisbee athletes among other youth sports. Many of our adult members are endurance athletes: triathlons, road & trail runners, cyclists, along with ultimate frisbee athletes.

About the Performance Coach

The owner is looking for a Performance Coach to help GHP reach its goal of serving 500 people in Pittsburgh and increasing the footprint of GHP across the region. A coaching role with GHP will give you plenty of experience coaching athletes & being a part of a growing business.

The Performance Coach is a coach that:

Enjoys mentoring young athletes
Enjoys working with performance minded adults

Knowledge & Experience

The Performance Coach of Global Human Performance must be knowledgeable & experienced in the areas of:

Motivational Coaching
Strength and conditioning methodologies
Running mechanics for sprinting and long distance running
Change of direction
Movement analysis and correction

Roles and Responsibilities of the Performance Coach:

● Coaching athletes in strength and conditioning & athletic development (track & field if applicable)

● Maintain retention of membership

● Creating content for education, entertainment, and encouragement

Reporting and Evaluation

The Performance Coach reports directly to the Performance Director. Primarily, performance is measured by:

● Retention of membership.

Secondarily performance is measured by demonstrating excellence in the field of athletic performance/strength and conditioning by:

● Increasing brand awareness through aligning partnerships
● Hosting relevant workshops, clinics, seminars
● Attendance to athletic activities of those we serve
● Showing leadership in the development of other coaches
● Generating opportunities to grow the business



This position is set at $31,000 base salary annual on 30 hours/week

Performance Opportunities:

– 1:1 coaching starting at $60/session – 10 hours/week leads to an additional $2,400/m which nearly doubles the monthly pay
