Responsibilities
- Consistently look for opportunities to gain new members and elevate service levels.
- Prospect for qualified leads and create traffic through social media, referrals, outreach, etc.
- Develop relations within community and local small businesses by involving club in community events.
- Reach and surpass monthly sales projections.
- Perform all basic transactions including billing change, freeze accounts
- Determine prospect’s goals and motivation, be knowledgeable of all products, programs and services and ensure prospects understand the value of Ohana Fitness’ role in helping them reach their fitness goals.
- Be available and on time for weekly shifts
- Lead multiple fitness classes during your shift that include weightlifting, powerlifting, kettlebells, dumbbells, med balls, rowing, gymnastics, mobility and various other training modalities
- Coach members through workouts: provide feedback, coaching tips, correct form and demonstrate movements with proper form
- Be friendly, engaging and empathetic with members
- Adhere to Ohana Fitness coaching guidelines and expectations
- Educate members on nutrition, training, recovery and mobility
- Other administrative gym duties as necessary
Minimum Qualifications
- Have a nationally recognized training certification (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, etc) and/or a Crossfit Level 1 or higher Certificate
- 6 months or more of experience in conducting small group fitness classes
- CPR/AED Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science/kinesiology from an accredited university is a plus
- Prior sales experience preferred
- Excellent customer services skills, outgoing, motivational and friendly
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
- Work cooperatively with other staff and members
- Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
- Ability to operate a computer and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
