Short biography

My fitness journey began in early 2014 when I was tired of not seeing results from the globo gym. I found CrossFit through a friend and was immediately hooked. I lost 50lbs in the first year and found out first hand the power of functional fitness and a good diet.

I got my L1 in 2017 and since then I've been working in local boxes improving my skills and making a difference in my community.

I've had the privilege of running group class (up to 30 athletes), ran a successful Endurance program, on-boarded many new athletes, and have done personal training implementing individualized programs to reach clients goals.

With my strong passion for this field I have a huge drive to make this a full-time career and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. I know my journey has just begun and I can't wait to see where this field takes me!

Summary

What are you most passionate about in your work? What motivates you?

My passion lies in teaching others the value of true health. In my time of growth, first as an athlete, then as a coach, and really developing my fitness theory, I learned that there is so much more to health than just not eating cake and running on the treadmill. True health lies in making sustainable lifestyle change as it relates to your diet and fitness routine. And I believe that effective coaching and the environment that CrossFit provides is the key to achieving those sustainable habits.

Are you willing to relocate?

Yes I am willing to relocate from where I currently live. I have a certain places I would consider over others. But overall I am willing to go wherever the best opportunity is for me and my wife.

Which coaching skills do you possess that set you apart from other coaches?

I believe my ability to spot and correct movement error, demonstration, make personal interactions throughout a CF class, and empathy as it relates to interacting with the client is unparalleled.

Where do you see yourself in your career in 5 years?

I see myself as an influential and effective leader in my community, who possesses a high level of coaching and overall knowledge of health and fitness, and is making a six-figure income while doing it.

Tell us about a coach you've worked with who has mentored you or a coach you've learned from online.

Starting off my coaching career I had a handful of great coaches around me who I learned from. One of my first mentors and coaches was Evan Satterfield. He had an amazing way of working the room and making every athlete feel loved and valued. Anther one was Paul Torres. His technical coaching knowledge and fun that he brought to each class were inspiring in many ways. Other than my personal influences who got me into CrossFit and whom I learned a lot from, I would have to say Austin Malleolo. His coaching and all of the great practical knowledge that he puts out on the internet have been so helpful on my fitness journey.

What are your values as a coach that differentiate you from others?

In terms of value I pride myself on being organized and professional in everything that I do. I quickly feel comfortable around new people and believe that I would add a sense of peace and approachability to the business that is often needed in the CrossFit space. Other values I believe strongly in are:
Caring, Excellence, Learning, Honesty, and Fun.

Which certification or seminar has had the biggest impact on your coaching skills?

I was very impressed by the CFL1 course I took at CrossFit Mayhem.

What Specialty Programs can you create for your new facility?

I believe I can create a number of new programs. But what I'm most interested in is a Endurance program, Gymnastics program, Mobility Hour, and a Corporate wellness program.

Are you a military veteran?

I am not. I come from a military family and have huge respect for anyone who serves/served.
